Fake or Real Christianity
In 1969 Coca-Cola launched the advertising slogan "it's the real thing" there have been many pretendenders, many look alikes but only one cocoa cola. What is Real Christianity and what is Fake.
Religion or Relationship
Nicodemas was a Pharisee and member of the Sanhedrin, in our terms someone who was at least a bishop. The top of the tree in a very religious country, but he didn't know God and he didn't have eternal life. Real Christianity is not about religion but it is about a relationship.
Fake Christianity is religion, but real Christianity is a relationship with God with two way communication.
Do or Done?
The rich young ruler had everything going for him, but it didn't satisfy, it wasn't enough.
He asked the question ‘What must I do’
He thought he had to do something, go to church, give money, help others, live a good life and yet none of us are good enough
Christianity is not about what we do, but what has been done. Jesus lived a perfect life, he died and and he went to the cross and took the punishment for my wrong doing and yours
Jesus when he died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice has done it all
Christianity is not about doing but it is about what Jesus has done.

Good or Bad
When the religious leaders wanted to insult Jesus they said… This man welcomes sinners and eats with them. What they thought was the biggest insult they could give is in fact one of the most amazing truths of the gospel, Jesus welcomes sinners and wants to be intimate with them. Jesus said himself I didn't come for the well but for the sick
In effect he was saying I didn't come for the good but for the bad.
The thief on the cross next to Jesus knew there was nothing good about himself, but Jesus said to him today you will be with me in paradise.
There was nothing he could do, nothing he could give, but he knew that that night he would be in heaven with Jesus.
You see this is amazingly good news, and you know why, because if Jesus came for the bad... that includes me... and it includes you... doesn't it?
Outside or Inside
Jesus told a story about a Pharisee and the publican, the Pharisee thanked God that he was not like other. The publican said God be merciful to me a sinner, Jesus said God heard that prayer and answered his prayer.
God looks at the heart
The heart of the problem is the problem of the heart. My biggest problem is me
When Christ comes in he changes us from the inside
