Is there really a God?

You can't see God, you can't touch him so does he really exist.

What happened to the papers?

The window is open, the papers are scattered and we would say that the wind blew the papers off the chair.

These papers got there by chance.

Now what has happened to the papers?

The window is still open, but we wouldn't believe the wind has done this. We recognise order and design.

    • Life from non-life
  • Invertebrates -> Vertebrates
    •  Fish -> Reptiles -> Mammals
  • Monkeys -> Man

How does God answer the question about His existance?


For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure.    
Isaiah 46: 9, 10








 Evidence for God:       Accurate Prediction of Future.




Does God predict the future?     Yes, here are just some of the things said about the promised saviour from the Old Testament, written hundreds and thousands of years before the birth of Jesus.
  1. A Promised Saviour
    1. Born to King David's family tree
    2. Born in Bethlehem
    3. Born of a virgin
    4. A messenger will come before Him
    5. He will enter Jerusalem on a donkey
    6. Betrayed by a friend and sold for 30 pieces of silver.
    7. Hands and feet would be pierced.
    8. Buried with the rich and rise again.
These coming true is very unlikely (1 in 10 17) and yet they did.  The words which God spoke came true.

Most life stories are written after the event, these were written before they took place.

We can't predict who will will the premiere football league in 10 years time let alone 500 years time.


Evidence for God:       Jesus.

A Tomb

Jesus lived and died, but where is his body. The Bible says He rose from the grave.
  1. The disciples were willing to die rather than deny this truth.

Evidence for God:       Changed lives.


People lives are changed when the read the Bible and come to know God for themselves.
