Then were there brought unto Him little children, that He should put His hands on them and pray. (Matthew 19:13)
Noah loved God. He had a wife and three sons, they were called Shem, Ham and Japheth. God told Noah that because of the wickedness on the earth He would flood the whole world and start again with Noah and his family. Noah was told to build a boat called the Ark.
It took Noah and his sons one hundred years to build the ark. Noah warned the people around about God's judgement but they laughed at him and did not believe him.
When Noah was 600 years old God told him to go into the ark, for in seven days it would start raining.
God called two of every kind of animal and birds, but seven of some like sheep and cattle. When Noah, his family and the animals were safe inside the ark God shut the door.
The flood gates opened and the rain started pouring down.
Then after 150 days God sent a wind and the water level started to go down.
It rained for forty days and nights. Everything on the earth was covered with water, but Noah was inside the ark and looked after and fed the animals.
The ark rested on the top of Mount Ararat. After forty days Noah opened the window and sent out a raven, then a dove to find ground but they both returned to the ark. Noah waited another 7 days, then sent the dove out again. This time she returned with a olive leaf in her beak. Noah knew the waters were receding. He sent the dove out again in a week. This time she did not return as she had found somewhere to make her nest.
Before long Noah could see the mountain tops around him and then the dry ground. When the ground was completely dry God opened the door and every person and creature that went into the ark came out. The first thing that Noah did was to build an altar and make a sacrifice to thank God for His kindness. In the sky God set a rainbow as a sign that He would never flood the whole earth again.Noah believed what God said and trusted in Him . His faith saved him.
