Then were there brought unto Him little children, that He should put His hands on them and pray.        (Matthew 19:13)

Children's To Children's Home Page Feeding 5000

Jesus was by the sea of Galilee with his disciples. The crowds followed him, bringing their sick. Jesus had compassion on them and didn't send them away even though he was tired. He healed their sick and taught them about God. Later on the disciples came to Jesus and said "It's late now, send the people away so they can get something to eat" but Jesus answered "They don't need to go away, you give them something to eat."

There was over 5000 people there. One of Jesus' disciples called Andrew brought a lad to Jesus. "We only have 5 loaves and 2 fish."

Jesus told everyone to sit down on the grass in groups of fifty. Then he gave thanks for the bread and broke it up. He gave it to the disciples to give out along with the fish.

A miracle occurred and from the boys small packed lunch everyone was fed. They had so much to eat that the disciples collected 12 baskets of left overs. Jesus is the creator of all and was able to multiply the food. Many people realised that Jesus was the Prophet that God had promised to send.
