My Christian life has not been a long one, but has been full of teachings, miracles and mercy from the Lord. I come from a family where my mother and older sister were already aware of God but I did not have the same awareness. From a very early age my mother took me to church on a regular basis. I liked to attend the young peoples service and even participated in some of the services and bible studies. As I entered university, which meant being away from home, I concentrated on my studies and forgot all about the Lord.
Although I was concerned about the spiritual world and was interested to hear about God, I was just one more sympathiser and did not really understand the full gospel message. It was not until 2004 when Jose (now my husband) shared the good news of salvation with me. That is when I understood what it says in Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven”. From then on I began a close walk with the Lord and I joined a Christian church in Colombia where I was able to learn more about Christ. I also became involved in a girls evangelistic campaign and worked with young people. Through these experiences I began to love God more and more each day.
I started attending Dovecot Evangelical Church in 2006 after I came to the UK and married Jose and I can safely say that the hand of God has continued in my life. I have found this Church to be a real family and I thank God for His mercy and His love for me and you.

We were both born in Colombia in South America and were brought up in a catholic family which is the dominant religion in many Spanish speaking countries. But now by the grace of God many countries have had a revival that has changed their history and many people know the truth and freedom in Christ Jesus.
