But when did I start going to Church? Well my mum and dad started taking me from when I was born and when I was old enough I went along to the children's meetings and then to the young people's meetings, where I learnt all about God and the Bible.
Although I knew all the stories from the Bible, I never knew the God who I was learning of in a real and personal way, He was just someone I learned about. Then one Sunday we had a visiting speaker who spoke to everyone in the Church, but I felt he was speaking to me, the message was for me personally. I knew all about sin, but now I realised that I was a sinner and had to ask God to forgive me, because He was the only one who could give forgiveness. Even though many would have said I was a good person, I knew that I had failed to live up to God's standards. Realising this I asked God to forgive me for my sin and He became a friend who helps me with every situation in my life.
All this happened when I was just 14yrs old, but since then God has been with me to help me, and I want to please Him who died to forgive me. That is why I go to Church, and the reason for my writing this so that you can know my Saviour for yourself.
