Why does our Church need this now?

• One purpose of the book of Revelation is to assure Christians (in difficulties and facing persecution) of the ultimate victory. It is therefore a book to encourage the saints: needed in these COVID days.

• However, false ideas and false teachings abound about this book. Another preaching aim therefore is to correct false teaching and draw out the main lessons as they apply to our lives.

• Thinking correctly about the return of our Lord is an inducement to confident faith, practical holiness and evangelism.
